Bird watching
In Sanginjoki nature reserve you can sight many birds that favour old forests, such as Siberian jay (Perisoreus infaustus), three-toed woodpecker (Picoided tridactylus), capercaillie (Tetrao urogallus) and the Eurasian pygmy owl (Glaucidium passerinum).
- The Kalimeenkierros and Korpilampinkierros Trails are suitable for searching forest species.
- There is a viewing platform on the shore of Korpilampi Pond, where you can observe waterfowl on the pond.
- Binoculars are handy for watching birds in the forest.
