The description of the accessibility of the website and application is based on an assessment by developers of the Luontoon.fi service and an external expert organisation.

Accessibility status of the Luontoon.fi online service
The Luontoon.fi online service largely conforms with set accessibility standards.
Non-accessible content
The following content and functions do not yet conform with the standards of WCAG conformance levels A & AA. The primary deficiencies will be addressed on in June 2026.
Perceivable
- Image missing a text alternative: The service contains individual images that lack descriptive text alternatives. (1.1.1)
- Video missing an alternative: The service contains a video lacking an alternative for visual content. (1.2.1)
Operable
- Shortcomings in the focus order: The focus order is not logical for the Cookiebot element when using the NVDA screen reader. (2.4.3)
- The focus of some elements is not visible on mobile devices: The service contains YouTube embeds that do not receive visible focus. (2.4.7)
- Impossible to navigate all elements with a single pointer control gesture: On mobile devices, the service has elements that cannot be browsed with single pointer control gestures.
Understandable
- Language not programmatically determined: For the YouTube embeds, foreign-language sections do not have programmatically determined language attributes. (3.1.2)
- Search field missing a label: The service contains a search field that lacks a continuously visible label describing the purpose of the field. (3.3.2)

Favourites function
- The name of the Favourites button is not always displayed. (4.1.2)

- The focus goes to the map in the background. (2.4.3)
- The focus often moves to incomplete fields during operations. (2.4.3)
- The screen reader does not read the terms of use. (1.3.1)
- The current selection of the active presentation is not indicated programmatically. (1.3.1)
- Jump links for destination presentations do not work. (2.4.3)
