There are no services for hikers in the Tsarmitunturi area. The tracks left by reindeer herders' snowmobiles make it easier for cross-country skiers to travel through the deep snow.

The Tsarmi area has few swamps, so "Lapland's Gold," the cloudberry, is not easily found there. Crowberries, lingonberries, and blueberries can be found to replenish vitamin stores. Mushroom picking is allowed in the Tsarmitunturi area.
