Hiking services
There are no hiking structures in the Salamanperä Strict Nature Reserve. Open fires and camping are prohibited in the reserve. Hiking structures can be found in Salamajärvi National Park.
Campsites
There are no campfire sites in the reserve area. The nearest campfire site is located at Koirasalmi in the Salamajärvi National Park.

- Check site-specific restrictions before making a fire.
- Portable stoves are permitted.
Drinking water
- Always boil water from natural sources before drinking it.
- Do not wash dishes or yourself in natural waters or on well covers.
- After use, remember to soak any washing water into the ground far enough away from natural waters or water supply points.

Toilets
There are no dry toilets in the Salamanperä Strict Nature Reserve. The nearest dry toilet is located at Koirasalmi in the Salamajärvi National Park.
Waste disposal
- Take your rubbish home, do not burn it.
- Remember to bring some rubbish bags when you go out.
- Do not throw food waste out in the forest.
