Two hikers, a woman and a girl, climb the stairs in sunny autumn weather. In the background is a white lichen and a pine forest.

Hiking

Rokua National Park offers around 35 kilometres of hiking trails. The trails are mostly easy and lead hikers through the most beautiful eskers and lichen fields of Rokua.

  • Four circle trails of different lengths from day trips to overnight excursions.
  • A number of campfire sites along or near the trails.
  • Demanding accessible trail and accessible campfire shelter of Pitkäjärvi in the most beautiful and oldest part of the National Park.
  • There is no winter maintenance on the trails. The Municipality of Utajärvi maintains a multi-use trail in winter.
