Activities and trails

Syöte is an excellent destination for skiing. There are cross-country skiing trails to suit all tastes, and campfire sites along the trails.

In Syöte you can ride on perhaps Finland’s best mountain biking trails.

Snowshoeing is a fun way to explore the winter nature of Syöte!

Visitor's checklist

  • Everyman’s Right apply in the hiking area
  • Temporary camping in the area is allowedTemporary camping with Everyman’s Right is allowed, except for parking areas. You can stay overnight in motorhomes in the parking area.
  • Make campfires only in designated sitesAlways check the current wildfire warning before making a fire. During a wildfire warning, fires are only allowed in cooking shelters with a chimney.
  • Remember to bring a trash bagThere are no waste bins in the area. Bring a trash bag and take the trash with you.
  • Be prepared for areas with limited or no mobile network coverageRemember to take a paper map and compass.
