New in the Luontoon app: collect the national parks you’ve visited on a map
How many of Finland’s national parks have you visited so far? Do you remember all your trips over the years? Now you can track your own outdoor history and collect the national parks you’ve visited on a map in the Luontoon app.
The new feature makes visiting national parks visible. Build your collection at your own pace – one park at a time or several during the same trip.
See your visited national parks immediately
In the My national parks tab under the Favorites in the Luontoon app, you can view a map where all the national parks you’ve visited in Finland are collected.
On the map, you can see:
- which national parks you have already visited
- which parks are still waiting to be explored
- a counter showing how your total grows

At its best, the map becomes your personal “hiking diary”
You can quickly add entries:
- select a national park from the alphabetical list
- add a date via the Mark as visited button
- record visits from even decades ago
- remove entries at any time
The feature will continue to be developed further.

Explore at your own pace and keep the memories
The idea behind the feature is to:
- see where you’ve already been
- revisit your memories
- save the map as an image
- share your map with others and plan your next destination together
- discover new places: the Explore button takes you straight to the park introduction and its trails
Finland has 41 national parks, each unique. Some revisit their local park repeatedly, while others aim to explore them all. Both ways bring you closer to nature.
