New feature on Luontoon.fi: find destinations and all campfire sites more easily with filters
Would you like to see all campfire sites and rest areas at once? The map view on Luontoon.fi has been improved to make trip planning and map reading clearer – and to help you quickly find important services on a single map.
The new filters in the destination and trail search make it easier to find what you're looking for – whether you're exploring local nature, visiting a national park, or planning a longer trip across Finland. A great trip starts with finding the destination or trail that suits you best.
All filters in one place
The destination and trail search now includes a Filters button that opens all available filters in one view. The button also shows how many filters are selected, so you can immediately see how you’ve narrowed your search and how many destinations, trails or services match your criteria.

New destination types and service types in filters
The filter panel has been expanded with new destination types and service types. These help you find exactly the places you’re interested in, both on the map and in search results:
- Campfire sites and cooking sites – rest areas for cooking and taking a break
- Saunas – traditional Finnish saunas that crown your trip
- Accessible services – destinations and structures suitable for accessible movement
- Boating services – harbours, piers and other services important for boaters
- Historical destinations – cultural heritage, ancient remains and historic locations
- Wilderness areas – vast, peaceful areas for experienced hikers
The new filters complement existing ones, such as national park and trail searches. You can tailor the results to your needs – whether you’re planning a short evening walk in nearby nature, a family trip, or a multi-day hike.
