Huts on the map with just one click – New on Luontoon.fi

The map search on Luontoon.fi has been updated with a much-requested feature: you can now filter huts! This makes planning routes and overnight stays much easier, especially for longer hikes.

Many hikers have hoped for an easy way to locate huts directly on the map – and now it’s here! The new “Huts” filter shows rental huts, shared rental huts and open wilderness huts.

This feature serves a wide range of visitors:

hikers planning multi-day routes
families looking for rest stops or shelter from the weather
those staying overnight in nature who want to know where they can sleep

If you wish to secure a place in a shared rental hut or a rental hut, book in advance at Eräluvat.fi. You’ll also find prices and detailed information there.

This update supports Luontoon.fi’s goal of making outdoor recreation easier and more accessible. With the map search you can now plan your trip by area, by route and with accommodation in mind – all in one view.

This feature will continue to evolve

We develop the service in an agile way, based on user feedback. We welcome your comments: feedback form. For example, at this stage the map icons do not yet distinguish between different hut types, such as open wilderness huts and shared rental huts. This will be improved in the next service updates later in the autumn.
