Rantapolku trail, which starts from the highest point of Lauhanvuori National Park, introduces visitors to Lauhanvuori's special geology and vegetation. Rantapolku means ‘Shoreline trail’ and was named after ancient shoreline features. From the lookout tower at the start and end point of the trail, you get a view stretching far out into the horizon. You will find Lauha rental hut along this trail. The accessible campfire shelter and the well and dry toilet outside the hut can be freely used. There are some height differences on the trail. There is no winter maintenance as the trail is used as a ski track in the snowy season.

The trail is marked with signposts.
The trail starts from the parking area and goes past the lookout tower. The view from the tower is not something you would want to miss. The summit is covered by lush forest dominated by spruces. From here you start descending towards Lauha hut along a trail that is quite steep in places. The campfire shelter, well and dry toilet outside the rental hut can be freely used by all visitors.
The trail continues in dry heath terrain before turning around and starting to climb back up to Lauhanvuori summit.
