From the top of Lauhanvuori National Park, a magnificent view opens out over the forests of Ostrobothnia and all the way to the sea. The diversity of the park, traces left by the Ice Age and the large stone fields make it a unique destination.

Activities and trails

Lauhanvuori National Park is ideal for day trips and overnight excursions alike. On the circle trails, you will have a view of the national park.

The area has a versatile network of 35 kilometres of mountain biking trails. You can also choose one of the circle trails (8 km or 16 km).

In Lauhanvuori National Park, Lauhanvuori mountain is surrounded by mires and covered by pine forests. Its slopes are decorated by large boulders, ancient shore formations and clear springs.

  • Camp only at permitted camping sitesCamping is permitted at the designated sites.
  • Make campfires only in designated sitesAlways check the current wildfire warning before making a fire. During a wildfire warning, fires are only allowed in cooking shelters with a chimney.
  • Remember to bring a trash bagThere is no recycling point in the area. Bring a trash bag and take the trash with you.
  • Always keep pets on a leashDog waste should be cleaned away from the paths.
