When walking clockwise, the trail first follows the shores of Lake Pukalajärvi.
The Roninmaa lean-to shelter is located on the lakeshore, and from near the shelter, a bridge and a side trail lead to Pukalasaari Island, where there is a separate campfire site.
From the Roninmaa lean-to shelter, the trail continues along the lakeshore. From the rocky cliffs by the shore, beautiful views open up over the lake.
As you head north, the lakeside scenery transitions into young or maturing coniferous and mixed forests.
After Lake Iso-Musturi, you reach a trail junction, from which a connecting path leads north to the Siitinjärvi parking area and the Valkeajärvi Trail.
Continuing straight ahead, the trail follows the Rasinoja stream, which flows from Lake Iso-Musturi to Lake Neejärvi. Along the stream, the vegetation becomes lusher and more grove-like.
From the shores of Lake Neejärvi, the trail continues south toward the Majalahti parking area.
