Starting point
The trail is marked with a yellow circle.
Pirunkierros trail starts from Kivijata stone field, which you cross along a broad wooden walkway.
The trail runs in level heath forest until it reaches the mire area, which you cross along duckboards.
After the mire, you arrive at Leikkistenkangas campfire site, which also has a lean-to shelter, well and dry toilet.
From the lean-to shelter, the trail continues through heath forests and returns to Kivijata, where you can go around the stone field to reach the parking area.
Tip: If you would like to visit the rocky outcrop of Aumakallio and Aumakivi boulder outside the National Park, the trail leading to them also starts from the parking area. Walking this trail in both directions will add slightly less than three kilometres to your total hiking distance. A Geobike mountain biking trail also runs along this trail section.
