The Martimoaapa hiking trail is a one-way route between Hangassalmenaho and the Kivalo hills. Along the trail, you can experience both rimmed and open aapa mires as well as lush grove-like wetlands. Please note that the trail is difficult to traverse due to wear and occasional wet and muddy conditions for approximately 600 meters from the Kivalo parking area toward the Saunasaari wilderness hut. We recommend waterproof footwear, such as rubber boots, for this challenging section.
