Starting point: Högland´s campfire site near harbour.
Högland´s Nature Trail runs through the northern and central parts of the island.
When walked clockwise, the trail climbs steeply up to the cliff near the observation tower, which is the highest point on the island. Högland itself is the highest island in the Archipelago Sea, standing 41 meters above sea level.
The trail then descends from the high cliff, with stairs provided to make the descent easier.
After passing through a meadow and an alder grove, the trail follows a small sandy beach and rocks back to the harbour.
The Högland nature trail is quite challenging, with a steep ascent and descent.
At the start of the nature trail, there is a campfire site, tent area, dry toilet, and an information board. Near the camping harbor, there are also mooring loops for boats on the shoreline rocks.
Endpoint: Högland´s campfire site near harbour.
There is also a shorter, 200-meter nature trail that circles around the old croft yard. Along the both trails, information boards provide details about the history of the island's crofters and its nature.
