The trail follows the same path there and back and its total length is 1.7 kilometers. Although the accessible trail has no route markings, the path is very clear.
The trail surface consists of compacted stone dust and transverse wooden planking. The pathway is mostly about 1.4 meters wide. The transverse wooden planking is 1.2 meters wide and bordered on both sides by a 7 cm wooden edge strip. On the gravel-covered section, there are occasional trees located right at the edge of the trail.
The trail begins with a gravel-covered section and runs approximately 300 meters from the parking area through the forest to the edge of the mire. The longitudinal slope of the gravel section is no more than 9%, and the cross slope is less than 2%. On the mire, the trail continues along a wide transverse boardwalk for about 180 meters. At the beginning of the boardwalk section, there is a short 13.5% incline over a couple of meters, but otherwise the trail is flat, with both longitudinal and cross slopes under 1%.
The trail continues as a gravel path through the forest for approximately 255 meters, leading to the accessible rest area at Järviaapa, where a lean-to shelter is located. The maximum longitudinal slope on this gravel section is 7%. From the rest area, the trail continues across the mire on a transverse boardwalk for about 80 meters, ending at a viewing platform. The return follows the same route. At the beginning of the trail, there is a short section with a longitudinal slope of less than 3%.
