Staying overnight

The national park has two rental cabins, a very small wilderness hut, and two camping areas.

Camping

Camping and other overnight stays are only allowed in designated areas within Tiilikkajärvi National Park.

  • When camping, consider other campers and overnight guests. They may be tired from their day's hikes and want to enjoy the peace of nature.

Huts

  • A rental hut is an accommodation that can be rented entirely for your group's use for one or several nights.
  • The open wilderness hut is a shared and free resting and overnight place for independent hikers.
    • There is a small day hut along the Haravapuro trail, which is suitable for a break but not for overnight stays.
  • By following the hut etiquette, you take the environment, safety and other hikers into consideration. Read the instructions and hut etiquette that can be found in the hut.

  • Koseva Open Wilderness Hut

    A modest open wilderness hut is available year-round. The open wilderness hut is a shared and free resting and overnight place for independent hikers. Facilities • Sleeping places for two. • Heating with a stove. • No drinking water point. Water from natural sources must be purified before drinking. • No waste management. Take your own waste out of the area. • Bring your own cooking utensils. • Pets are allowed in the hut only with the consent of other users.

  • Summer Night in Tree Tent

    Summer Night in Tree Tent, 1-3 person Location: North-Savo, Rautavaara Welcome to relax under the pine trees by the sparkling Lake Keyritty and enjoy a peaceful summer night surrounded by nature near Tiilikkajärvi Nationalpark. The accommodation includes: Accommodation in Tentsile Tree Tent for 1-3 people Sleeping bags, pillows and duvet covers for 1-3 people Insulating sleeping pad Cups, plates and a spoons for 3 persons 10 liter drinking water Accessories for washing dishes Hygiene supplies (hand detergent, toilet paper) Accessories for cooking (salt, sugar, oil, jar opener, knife, wooden tray) First aid supplies and extinguishing blanket For an additional fee: Camping stove, kettle and gas cylinder Camping food and delicacies The tree tent serves as the accommodation base, with accommodation for three people. The tent is attached between three trees and is about a meter above the ground. The maximum capacity of the tent is 400 kg. The tent is intended for peaceful sojourning. It does not endure jumping. Unfortunately, taking pets inside the tent is prohibited, for both allergy and safety reasons.The tent has a rainproof canvas that can be removed temporarily. The tent protects from insects.
