Syöte National Park invites visitors to its hillside spruce forests and aapa mires. Activities and trails

Syöte National Park offers over 100 km of hiking trails, ranging from short nature trails to multi-day hikes.

In the landscapes of Syötte National Park, you can cycle on perhaps Finland's best mountain biking trails.

Syöte offers over a hundred kilometers of maintained ski trails, with nearly 40 kilometers running through the national park.

Syöte's hilly and snow-covered terrain is perfect for snowshoeing.

Visitor's checklist

  • The National Park is a nature reserveEveryman’s Right are not valid as such in national parks.
  • Make campfires only in designated sitesAlways check the current wildfire warning before making a fire. During a wildfire warning, fires are only allowed in cooking shelters with a chimney.
  • Always keep pets on a leashDog waste should be cleaned away from the paths. Pets are welcome at the Syöte Visitor Centre and all of the area's renatal, day-use, and open wilderness huts. You are allowed to ski with a leashed pet on all the skiing tracks in Syöte National Park.
  • Camp only at permitted camping sitesCamping is only permitted in the immediate vicinity of designated rest and campfire sites, and huts.
  • Remember to bring a trash bagThere is no recycling point in the area. Bring a trash bag and take the trash with you.
