Hiking services in Siikalahti
Siikalahti offers a wide range of service structures for bird enthusiasts and hikers.
The nature information hut, campfire site, and the Kaukolantie lookout platform are accessible. The lower level of the birdwatching tower near the nature information hut is also reachable by wheelchair, at least with assistance. One of the toilets at the parking area is accessible.
The hide and the birdwatching tower on Ripekesaari, located on the opposite side of the wetland area, are not accessible.
Campsites
The yard area of the nature information hut is the only resting place at Siikalahti.
- As campsites are shared resting places, you should show consideration towards other hikers.
- There is no waste management at the campsites, so bring your rubbish home.
- Lighting fires is only allowed at serviced and designated campfire sites.
- Before you light a fire, always check if a wildfire warning is in effect. When a wildfire warning has been issued, lighting fires is limited.
- Firewood is provided at campfire sites. Remember that you may have to chop up the wood yourself. Please use the firewood sparingly.
- Do not burn rubbish or tear off bark from living trees. You can use a small amount of clean paper and cardboard to light your fire.
- The last person to leave the campfire site is always responsible for putting out the fire.

Drinking water
- There is no drinking water available in Siikalahti.
Toilets
- There are toilets at the parking area of Siikalahti and one of them is accessible.
- Remember to bring your own toilet paper.
- Check the toilet instructions on site.
Waste disposal
- Do not burn your rubbish, but take them with you.
- Remember to bring some rubbish bags when you go out.
- Do not throw food waste out in the forest.
