The day-use hut is located on the northern side of Ukonhattu fell, by the small Karhunjuomalampi pond, along marked trails. In the summer, hiking trails pass by the hut, and in the winter, a one-way ski track arrives there starting from week 8.

The day-use hut is an open and shared resting place for self-guided hikers for daytime use without reservation or fee. Overnight stays are not allowed in the day-use hut.

Facilities:

  • Heating with a wood stove.
  • Pets are allowed in the hut only with the consent of other users.
  • No waste management. Take your own waste out of the area.
  • The quality of the water in Karhunjuomalampi pond is not tested. If you take drinking water from the pond, boil it before use. Do not wash dishes, swim or let dogs swim in the pond.
