The nearest railway station (vr.fi) is located in Rovaniemi, from where you can get a bus to Ivalo, Inari, Kaamanen and Karigasniemi.

By bus

The eastern and northern sides of the area, along the Karigasniemi road, can be reached by bus from Rovaniemi, Ivalo, and Inari. Regular bus services operate on the routes Ivalo – Inari – Kaamanen – Karigasniemi.
