The Wilderness Reserve is not bordered by roads, but the distance from the roads to the area varies from 1 to 14 kilometers.

• The Inari–Angeli road (Road 9553) leads to the south of Muotkatunturi Wilderness Reserve.
• To reach the eastern and northern parts of the reserve, follow the road from Kaamanen to Karigasniemi (Road 92).
• The southeast part of the reserve can be reached from Road 4 section between Inari and Kaamanen.
• The road from Angeli to Karigasniemi (Road 9553) runs on the western side of the area.
