Snowmobiling
The Simo snowmobile route extends into the Martimoaapa area. Riding on the trail requires a track permit from Metsähallitus (eraluvat.fi).
Hunting
- Hunting small game in the area is allowed with a permit.
- Small game permits for area no. 2618 Keminmaa - Simo can be purchased from Metsähallitus' Eräluvat website (eraluvat.fi).
Paddling
The Simojoki water trail runs close to the eastern edge of the area. Lake Martimojärvi is well suited for water-based excursions.
