Demanding accessible trail
Hiking and outdoor recreation
- From the eastern edge of the mire area, at Hangassalmenaho, starts the Martimoaapa accessible trail (815 m one way), the 3 km Martimoaapa Nature Trail, and the 9 km Järviaapa Trail. From the northwestern part of the area, the trail to the Keski-Penikka observation tower begins (2 km one way).
- A 12,8 km long Martimoaapa hiking trail runs through the entire Martimoaapa Mire Reserve. In the western part of the area, the Lautiosaari–Puukkokumpu route (36 km) passes through, serving as a ski trail in winter and a hiking trail in summer.
