Kurimonkoski lies along the 170 km Kiiminkijoki canoe route (please note that the route shown on the map does not extend to Kurimonkoski, so the route length is incomplete), which features around 70 rapids. The Kiiminkijoki canoe route can be started from several different locations. In midsummer, paddling is made more difficult by low water levels.
