Fishing
Kermajärvi is an good fishing destination. Professional fishing is also practised there. The fish species in the area include e.g. vendace and trout.
- Hook-and-line fishing and ice angling are permitted under Everyman's right.
- Persons aged 18-69 fishing with lures must pay the fisheries management fee.
- The Karvionkoski Rapids recreational fishing area (Permit area 7561) is located in the northern part of Lake Kermajärvi (outside the Lake Kermajärvi area restriction). Trout, whitefish and (occasionally) landlocked salmon swim up the Karvionkoski Rapids. Permits may be purchased on the Metsähallitus Eräluvat web shop. A fishing permit for Karvionkoski can be purchased for 6 hours, 12 hours or a full day.
- Persons aged 18 to 69 fishing with nets must pay the fisheries management fee. Permits may be purchased on the Metsähallitus Eräluvat web shop. The permission of the owner of the water area is also required.
- In the Kermajärvi state-owned water area (Permit area 7010, eraluvat.fi), you may fish with a Metsähallitus trap permit. Permits can also be purchased by phone at +358 (0)20 69 2424.
