Auttiköngäs is located in the municipality of Rovaniemi, near Rovaniemi-Posio-Kuusamo road (road no. 81), approximately 80 km from the city centre of Rovaniemi and approximately 110 km from the town centre of Kuusamo. From Kemijärvi it is approximately 66 km to Auttiköngäs by the road no. 944 and after the village of Autti the road no. 81.

From Rovaniemi-Posio-Kuusamo road (road no. 81), turn onto gravel-surfaced Auttikönkääntie road and drive for 1.2 km to the Auttiköngäs parking area. The road to the parking area is maintained in winter.
