Evo Camp Area – a versatile destination for camp event

Located in the Evo hiking area in Hämeenlinna, the Evo Camp Area offers excellent facilities for organizing various camps and events throughout the year. The area's permanent structures, comprehensive services, and natural surroundings make it an ideal location for both small groups and large camps with thousands of participants.

ocation and Structures of the Camp Area

The Evo Camp Area is located between Lake Pitkänniemenjärvi and Lake Ylinen Rautjärvi. The terrain consists of varied and easy-to-navigate sparse pine forest. The area is divided in two by a former airfield about 500 meters long, which also serves as a parking area.

At Evo, it is possible to organize a large camp for up to 10,000 people or four smaller camps of under 100 people each simultaneously. The area features an extensive road network, water and sewage systems, as well as electricity and internet connections suitable for large-scale camps. Each camp section has access to a dry toilet, firewood, benches, a campfire site, and water that must be carried from a well.

The permanent structures of the camp area have been developed in cooperation with Metsähallitus and the Guides and Scouts of Finland. The Scouts have an annual priority booking period from May 1 to October 31 for reservations for the following year. After this period, the area is open for booking by anyone.
