Vaarasaari hiking trail

On this trail that meanders through the western part of the largest island in Lake Miekojärvi you can explore diverse nature with both forests and mires. The trail also takes in the small Vaaralampi lake. The trail is marked with orange paint, and the wettest sections have duckboards. You can start your hike on Vaarasaari trail by landing at Mustalahti or Hietalahti bays, which have not only lean-to shelters but also splendid beaches ideal for swimming.
