Touruvuori Nature Trail is located near the residential area in Palokka. The nature trail introduces local forest, rock and bogland habitats and leads to the top of Touruvuori hill with beautiful views out over the area. The total length of the trail is approx. 3 km. You can also turn back from the top of Tourunvuori, in which case the total length of the trail is 2 km.

Touruvuori Nature Trail is located in the eastern part of Palokka, Jyväskylä. The trail starts at the end of Raivaajantie, near a playing field. The route is approximately 3 km long, with a shorter 2 km option available. It is walked clockwise and marked with yellow paint and POLKU signs. The longer route includes 20 information boards, while the shorter one has 14.
The trail mostly runs through a nature reserve and features varied terrain: gentle slopes, steep rocky sections, and stony paths. The summit of Touruvuori reaches 203 meters above sea level and offers scenic views. The final part of the trail can be wet, so waterproof footwear is recommended.
The trail is not maintained in winter and is not suitable for small children, elderly people, or those with reduced mobility. Hikers are encouraged to follow the principles of leave-no-trace hiking.
Starting point/end point
The nature trail departs from the forest near a sports ground at the end of Raivaajantie. Follow the sign “POLKU” along the exercise track on the northern edge of the sports ground.
