The Taajoslaavu Trail runs along a partially gravelled path in forested terrain. The trail passes the beautiful Rumakuru ravine, and you can also deviate from the trail if you want to climb on top of the Iisakkipää fell. The vicinity of Rumakuru day trip huts and Vellinsärpimäoja is a green brookside landscape. There are little differences in elevation on the trail, but the slope of Vahtamapää does rise slightly higher when approaching Iisakkipää fell. The trail is mainly an easy terrain. The section between Vellinsärpimä and Taajoslaavu is a wetter and more difficult path. When climbing the Vahtamapää slope, the rest of the way on the Iisakkipää trail, before Vellinsärpimä, there is more challenging rocky terrain. There is no shortcut between Vellinsärpimä and Taajoslaavu. The trail is suitable for a longer day trip or overnight hiking. The trail is moderate in terms of difficulty, due to its length and wet and rocky sections. The trail is marked in the terrain with black poles.
