The trail to Pieskänjupukka viewing point is fairly short but requires a certain level of fitness as it climbs up a steep and at times rocky slope to the top of the hill. Completing this climb is worthwhile, however – a magnificent scenery opens out from the top over the large, blue Lake Miekojärvi. The trail can be accessed both by water and by road. The trail is marked with orange paint. There are no campfire sites on the trail.

If you arrive by car, you can access the trail from Pakisjärventie, a forest road on the western side of Miekojärvi. There is space for a couple of cars in the lay-bye on the roadside. A wooden sign points to the start of the trail.
If you arrive across Miekojärvi by water, you walk around 100 metres from the landing site across Pakisjärventie road to the starting point of the trail.
From the starting point, the trail is traveled over a marsh area along duckboards to the beginning of the circular part of the trail. The circle part of the trail ascends to the top of the hill, at times quite steep and rocky.
