The Muuraiskangas Trail has two parts: the back-and-forth sections at the start and end of the trail and the circular section in the dry pine forest of Muuraiskangas.
The trail starts at the Lake Valkiaisjärvi beach outside the Sanginjoki nature reserve. The trail is easy and meanders along the southern shores of the Lake Valkiaisjärvi for about 0.9 kilometres up to the eastern shore of the lake. The trail is hardened and easy to walk.
On the eastern edge of the Lake Valkiaisjärvi, the trail turns south continuing as a wide, unhardened path for about 0.2 kilometres. The Harakkasuo nature reserve begins on the eastern side of the trail.
The trail then arrives at a junction where you should select the branch going to the left. For about 0.2 kilometres, the path runs on the most challenging (plenty of rocks) section of the Muuraiskangas Trail, which continues to the next trail junction.
At this junction, you should turn to the left again. For the next 1.1 kilometres, the trail continues as an easy gravel-hardened path and has a small number of duckboard sections at moist points. On this section, you reach the Sanginjoki nature reserve.
The next section runs on a gravel road and has a length of about 0.2 kilometres. After that, the trail makes a sharp turn back towards the Lake Valkiaisjärvi.
The Muuraiskangas Trail continues as an easy gravel-hardened path for about 1.0 kilometres until the end of the gravel section.
For about 0.3 kilometres, the trail runs on a forest road, after which the Muuraiskangas Trail branches from the road, turning to the right. After about 100 metres, the trail merges with the section on the edges of the Harakkasuo nature reserve, which is the most rugged part of the trail.
For the rest of the route, the trail runs on the same path as the initial section: along the southern shores of the Lake Valkiaisjärvi towards the beach.
