Length4 km
Duration(2-4h)
The easy Lietteiden reitti trail connects the dune area of Yyteri sands with the Yyteri silts Bird Shore, all the way to the border of the Bothnian Sea National Park. Enjoy the atmosphere of the coastal forests and meadows and admire the views from the nature observation platforms to the reed-fringed silts. The area is the country's most famous wader migration hotspot, where around 30 wader species are found each year. Here you can also observe the dashing shelduck, the signature species of the Yyteri silts. The route is busiest in spring and autumn during the bird migration, but its flatness makes it suitable for the whole family to walk all year round. In winter, the trail can be slippery (no winter maintenance) and we recommend rubber boots during the spring thaw. Several bird watching and nature observation platforms as well as wooden duckboards give this trail a nice rythm. You can enjoy your own picnic lunch while admiring the scenery from the nature observation platforms or at the northern point of the route at the Munakari Spit rest area with a campfire and sea views.

Starting point: Langoura parking area, Huhtalanraitti 206, 28800 Pori.
From the large car park, follow the gravel road, which soon turns into a wide path through the forest. At the wettest points there are duckboards.
The first nature observation platform on the route (Lietteet) is located about 1 km from the starting point.
The next nature observation tower (Sannannokka) is about 800 metres away, mainly along duckboards and a wide wooden footbridge.
Sannannokka is one of the most photographed sites in the area and one of the best towers for birdwatching.
The wooden footbridge continues along the shore for about 1 km, with the following towers and platforms in order: Isosanta I, Hathuru and Isosanta II.
After about 1.3 km from the last nature observation platform, the trail crosses the forest to the Munakarinsäikkä campifire site, which is also the end of the trail.
The return to the finishing point follows the same route, doubling the total length of the trail.
Finishing point: Langoura parking area, Huhtalanraitti 206, 28800 Pori.
