The trail section between Koronjää and Pajupuro wilderness hut is closed until further notice due to deteriorated boardwalks and bridges.
06/19/2025The boardwalks and the bridges crossing the Korojoki River along the trail are severely decayed in many places and can no longer be used safely.
Hikers planning to explore the long Korouoma hiking trail are advised to start their hike from Lapiosalmi. Please note that it is no longer possible to hike all the way to the Saukkovaara parking area from Lapiosalmi. The trail currently ends at the Pajupuro open wilderness hut, from where hikers must return along the same route.
