Ketunlenkki is the most popular trail in Repovesi. It combines the key elements of the national park: sheltered lakes, steep cliffs, and excellent hiking structures. From the Lapinsalmi bridge, you can enjoy magnificent views, and the hand-operated Ketunlossi ferry adds a touch of adventure to the hike. The popular circular route is ideal for family outings. However, there are short staircases and uneven sections along the way. The trail is fully accessible only from spring to autumn when Ketunlossi is in operation. You can also combine the route with a visit to the beautiful Katajavuori, which adds 1.5 km and over 200 steps. Ketunlossi is not in operation during winter. When the ferry is out of service, Ketunlenkki cannot be completed in its entirety. The strait is swift, and it should not be crossed on ice. We provide updates on the ferry's operation on the Repovesi National Park's What's New page.

Ketunlenkki is a circular trail that begins and ends at the Lapinsalmi parking area. There are two campfire sites along the route. The trail can be hiked either clockwise or counterclockwise.
When walking clockwise, the first attraction is the Lapinsalmi Bridge and its campfire site, about 600 meters away. There are two short stairways along the path.
From the Lapinsalmi campfire site, the route continues eastward through the forest toward the Kapiavesi campfire site, which is approximately 500 meters away. From there, the trail follows the shoreline. At Terrilehti, there is a short, rocky section equipped with a handrail.
You can also combine Ketunlenkki with a visit to the Määkijä campfire site. Määkijä also has a rental campfire hut. From Kapiavesi campfire site to Määkijä is roughly one kilometer, with the last 200 meters branching northeast from Ketunlenkki according to the Määkijä signposts.
Toward the end of the trail, Kapiavesi is crossed using the hand-operated ferry Ketunlossi. The final 600 meters of the trail are flat and wide, following the shoreline and ending back at the Lapinsalmi parking area.
