The nature trail circles around the meandering Keskisenlampi, which is part of the national bird water conservation program. Keskisenlampi is a lush bird lake where resting waterfowl gather during the spring migration. Along the nature trail, there is a bird observation tower that provides a view of the lake. During the nesting season in spring and early summer, please avoid disturbing the birds and stay on the marked path.
Contact information
An accessible resting area has been established next to the Keskisenlampi nature trail, accessible via a crushed stone maintenance path from Hankasalmentie road. At the beginning of the maintenance path, at Hankasalmentie 138, there is a small parking area for drop-off purposes, offering barrier-free access. The resting area features a fireplace-equipped hut, suitable even for larger groups for picnic outings (max. 40 people), and restroom facilities. Both the hut and the restroom have accessible entrances, for example, for wheelchair users.
There are information boards along the path, introducing the bog habitat and the plant and animal species in the area. It is important to keep to the marked path, so as not to disturb the birds during their nesting season.
There is a birdwatching tower along the trail for viewing birdlife on the lake or just to admire the views. Resting area with an accessible fireplace-equipped hut.
