Length2,7 km
Duration(30-50min)
The short, but all the more varied route offers stunning views of the Yyteri sands and the Bothnian Sea. On the Keisarin kierros circuit, nature and climate change dramatically: at the top of the highest dune in the area, Keisarinpankki (the Emperor's Bank), which rises to 16 metres, nature is shaped by the fresh sea breeze, while the magnificent spruce forest behind the dunes has a humid microclimate. This circular route is accessible all year round (no winter maintenance) and is suitable as a short excursion for the whole family. Services are available at the trailhead at the Yyteri Visitor Centre, but the whole trip is crowned by a magnificent viewpoint along the trail.

Starting point: Yyteri Visitor Centre, Kortejärventie 1, 28840 Pori. The visitor centre has toilets, outdoor exercise facilities and a campfire site.
For the first 300 metres or so, the trail runs along the boundary between the car park and the forested dune, until it dives into the forest on a wide, flat gravel path. The lush forested slopes sheltered by the dunes, and natural deciduous forests will surprise even the most experienced Yyteri visitor.
After a flat section of about 560 metres, an impressive long wooden bridge of almost 80 metres crosses the bog. The wetlands along the route date back to the age, when there was a shallow bay behind the dune. Over time, some of the areas have developed into rare coniferous black alder swamps and others have become marshland.
After the bridge, the trail continues on a gravel surface, with some roots, uneven ground and gentle climbs up to the roadside parking area of the Adventure Park Huikee.
At the turning point of the route, the path continues past the tree-lined Adventure Park Huikee as a narrower forest path over a dune.
Less than 400 metres before the end of the trail is an observation platform overlooking one of the most impressive views of Yyteri.
Finishing point: Yyteri Visitor Centre, Kortejärventie 1, 28840 Pori.
