Kangasvuori Nature Trail is a 3 km long route established in 1984, located near the residential areas of Kangasvuori and Huhtasuo in Jyväskylä. The trail winds through forested terrain and features 16 information boards. It is recommended to walk the trail counterclockwise.
The trail showcases diverse nature, including young and mature sapling stands, shaded forests, and a mixed forest identified as a flying squirrel habitat. Highlights of the route include a scenic viewpoint and the clear-watered Vuorilampi Pond, which offers a peaceful resting spot. At the pond, there is a lean-to shelter where visitors can enjoy a break. Firewood is usually available, but making a fire is prohibited during forest fire warnings.
The trail is not maintained during winter, and hikers are encouraged to follow the leave-no-trace principle by taking all trash with them.
The trailhead with an information board is located in the forest southeast of Huhtasuo School, along an outdoor exercise path.
