The trail follows an old forest road in some places, while in others it is narrow and rocky. The final section follows a cycling trail between the Heretty and Lortikka cabins that was levelled by loggers of bygone days. Trail markings: blue diamonds.
Located just after the halfway point, the Kuorejärvi lean-to shelter is an ideal spot to stop and rest.
Towards the end of the trail, the Kannuslahti cooking shelter is also a nice place for a break.
