The Kynnysniemi loop is a circular trail along which you can immerse yourself in a mossy forest and hike along the shores of Lake Pääjärvi. The route is fairly easy, but there are short, steep ascents and descents along the way. The landscape in this nature reserve varies from pine forest to stunning birch forest and dense spruce forest with moss covering the ground. Along the way you will also see forest ponds and bogholes. The route is passable during the spring, summer and autumn when there is no snow on the ground.
