This easy and short trail serves all visitors to Auttiköngäs, whether you are interested in admiring the surging waterfall or learning about the interesting history of log floating in the area. Starting at the parking area, a boardwalk approximately 1 metre in width leads to a fenced scenic lookout point at the edge of the Auttiköngäs gorge and to the Uittopirtti day-use hut and a small museum building near it. Next to the parking area, there is an accessible lean-to shelter and an accessible dry toilet.

The trail is an out-and-back route with a total length of 200 metres.

The trail leading to Uittopirtti day-use hut from the parking area is an approximately 40-metre long 1-metre wide boardwalk partly framed by wooden railings. You can immerse yourself in the past inside Uittopirtti, a day use hut that used to be a lodge of log floaters. There are photographs of logging culture on the walls.
The boardwalk trail continues for another 35 metres to a small museum shelter just adjacent to Uittopirtti, where interesting objects used in log floating and forest work have been gathered.
From the parking area, you can also take a 20-metre long, 1-metre-wide boardwalk trail to a wooden viewing platform with railings at the edge of the gorge, from which you can admire Auttiköngäs Falls.
