Customer service of Metsähallitus in Inari is located on the first floor of the Sámi Museum Siida building.
The exhibition “These lands are our children”, which presents the nature of Northern Lapland and Sámi culture, has been created in collaboration between the Sámi Museum and Metsähallitus. The exhibition of Sámi Museum links Sámi culture and northern nature to one another forming one whole, which offers a vivid and visual experience as well as an abundance of information.
At the Metsähallitus customer service in Inari, we provide advice on hiking and outdoor activities throughout the northernmost Lapland, covering the municipalities of Inari and Utsjoki. We assist in selecting suitable destinations and routes and guide you on safe hiking. Our map selection includes outdoor and terrain maps for the Northern Lapland area.
Fishing and hunting matters are conveniently handled online at the Eräluvat.fi service or via Eräluvat service number +358 20 69 2424 (open weekdays 9–15). Through the service number, you can obtain local free fishing permits, paid river fishing permits for residents, and fishing permits for the Skolt area, as well as information on these issues.
