10/24/2025The river crossing cable at the Nuortti River has been taken out of use for the 2025 summer season in Urho Kekkonen National Park.
The Nuorttijoki river crossing cable is located approximately 250 meters upstream from the Kärekeoja hut along the Nuorttijoki River. It makes crossing the river easier during the summer.
The cable is removed every winter and reinstalled after the spring floods.
