The snowshoeing trail of Koli's tops in Koli National Park has finally been opened. The low-snow winter has significantly delayed the opening, as the trail running between the rocky areas requires a thick layer of snow. The route is intended exclusively for snowshoeing.
The Snowshoeing trail of Koli's tops peaks passes over the highest summits of Koli and is marked in the terrain with signs and ribbons.Entering the snowshoeing trail without snowshoes is not permitted, as the route is not safe without them.
Koli’s viewpoints can also be reached via the Huippujen kierros summer hiking trail. The summer trail remains well trodden throughout the winter and can be used without snowshoes. However, we recommend using walking poles, traction devices or studs, as the paths may be slippery
