A parking fee pilot will begin in Koli National Park at the start of September and will run for approximately six months. The pilot applies to car parks P1, P2 and P3 at Ylä-Kolintie 39. Parking will remain free of charge for guests staying at Break Sokos Hotel Koli and for conference participants. During the pilot period, all other car parks in Koli National Park will remain free of charge.
The first 30 minutes of parking are free of charge. After that, the parking fee is €1 per hour.
The aim of the pilot is to gather experience of how paid parking functions and what impacts it has in Koli National Park. Revenue from parking fees will be used for the maintenance of hiking destinations and visitor sites.
