Parking fee trial to launch in Koli in September

A parking fee trial will begin in Koli National Park on 1 September 2026. The trial will run until spring 2027 and applies to car parks P1, P2 and P3 at Ylä-Kolintie 39. Parking will remain free of charge for guests staying at Break Sokos Hotel Koli and for conference participants. During the pilot period, all other car parks in Koli National Park will remain free of charge.

The parking fee is €1 per hour + service fee. The first 30 minutes are free.

The maximum parking fee is €5 per day + service fee.
In addition, a service fee of 15% of the total parking charge will be applied, with a minimum fee of €0.59 per parking session.
Parking fees apply daily from 9 am to 6 pm.
Parking is paid for using the EasyPark mobile app.

Parking is free with a disabled parking permit.

The aim of the pilot is to gather experience of how paid parking functions and what impacts it has in Koli National Park. Revenue from parking fees will be used for the maintenance of hiking destinations and visitor sites.
