Thick-trunked deciduous trees in the forest. Light filters through the green foliage.

The Vaisakko Nature Reserve was established to protect grove habitats and hardwood forests representative of the southern oak zone of Finland. The ancient, thick-trunked oaks and the diverse moss species enchant visitors in every season.

  • Vaisakko is home to a nationally rare natural habitat – hemiboreal hardwood forest.
  • Vankkurimäen ja Mustametsä -nimisen mäen yhdistävällä kallioharjanteella sijaitseva pronssikautinen hautaröykkiö.
  • From the 66-meter-high hilltop, there is an open view to the west, and the steep slope is a valuable part of the nationally significant Uskela and Halikko River Valley landscape area.
  • Torppariasutusta 1700-luvulta lähtien, vanhan torpan hirsirauniot nähtävissä rantaniityn pohjoisosassa.
