The 19-site caravan site is located in a scenic setting in the middle of the national park by Lake Matilda. Numerous hiking trails start directly from the corner of the campsite. It is also possible to hire a kayak, sup-board, fatbike or boat to explore Lake Matildanjärvi and the water and land routes of the National Park. Lake Matildanjärvi is known as a very fishy lake, where catch-sized rainbow trout are also regularly stocked. You can also rent a season space in the Caravan area! See more information on the website. We also offer a €20 discount on the sauna for those who book a caravan pitch. When you purchase a caravan pitch, you will receive a code in your booking confirmation which you can use to book a sauna at a reduced price. Area The caravan site is part of the National Park and is located in a forested area near the road leading to the parking area of Lake Matilda. Each caravan or caravan has its own flat, graveled site with an electric pole. The Teijo Nature Centre and its services, run by Natura Viva, is located about 200 metres away. Rent Matildanjärvi cabins in Teijo National Park - in the middle of Finnish nature! Matildanjärvi cabins Vaappu and Lippa are located in the southern part of Teijo National Park, along the Jeturkasti and Matildajärvi hiking trails. Nearby are the natural beaches and fishing opportunities of Matildanjärvi, the Teijo Nature Centre and the Matildanjärvi sauna, which is available free of charge to the cottages' tenants. Vaappu and Lippa are a great base for outdoor activities in Teijo National Park. Beautiful scenery, rental equipment options and sauna service guarantee a successful nature experience! Facilities and yard of the cabins The Vaappu and Lippa frame a courtyard in the style of the old days, with a fireplace and table benches in the centre. Both cabins have two sleeping alcoves and a fireplace in the middle. The main source of heat in the cabins is a stove. Basic heating is provided by an electric radiator. Vaappu and Lippa can be booked together or separately. The cabins can accommodate a maximum of 6 people. The combined maximum capacity of the cabins is 12 people. Location The Matildanjärvi cabins are located in the southern part of Teijo National Park, right next to the Teijo Nature Centre. Those arriving by car can park right next to the cabins. In the shared outdoor yard you will find an outdoor fireplace with a barbecue grill, table benches, a firewood stove and dry toilets. The nearest shop is in the village of Teijo, about 7 km from the cottages. Accommodation includes one 1,5h shift in sauna/ day / cottage. If you book both Vaapu and Lippa, you can book yourself two free sauna shifts. The sauna is located about 300 meters from the cottages. Tentsile Accommodation in Teijo National Park

Tentsile accommodation in Teijo National Park! Located in the immediate vicinity of the Teijo Nature Centre, Tentsile is the perfect place to stay for visitors to the National Park. Spend a night in a cosy tree house right next to Lake Matilda. Barbecue area, showers and toilets are nearby while staying overnight. Tentsile is a very popular tent style that combines the best of the hammock and the traditional tent. The shelter is attached to the trunks of three triangular-shaped trees at a height of about 1-1.5 metres. We have set up the tent for you, so you don't have to worry about setting it up! If you wish, you can sleep without a rain cover with just a netting, literally in the middle of nature! The Tentsile Stingray we use is designed for three people and is best suited for two adults or three children, or a combination of both. The booking includes: - Accommodation in a Tentsile tree house - The booking is valid from 13.00 on the day of arrival until 11.00 on the day of departure. - Use of shower and toilet facilities also outside the opening hours of the Nature Centre - Discount for sauna shift in the sauna of Lake Matilda. Forest Hut at lake Matildanjärvi

Rent a traditional kota, a Finnish forest hut, for your excursion to lake Matildanjärvi! This hut sits on a beautiful lakeside spot at lake Matildanjärvi on the northern side. The hut accommodate six persons on wide wooden benches, which are also suitable for sleeping – just bring your own tent mattress and a sleeping bag. There's a lot to be explored at lake Matildanjärvi, the most beautiful forest lake in Teijo National Park! You can hike around the lake along a hiking trail, or rent a kayak, a sup board or a rowing boat from Teijo Nature Center and head on the lake for a paddling excursion. Lake Matildanjärvi is also a famous fishing destination, known for its abundance of impleneted rainbow trout. Location The kota is located in Teijo National Park, on the Northern Matildanjärvi lakeshore. The nearest parking area is Mikkossuo, 700 meters from the kota. Teijo Nature Center, Natura Viva's hub in Teijo with a cafeteria and a rental shop, is located 2,3 kilometres from the kota along the Matildanjärven kierros hiking trail. Additional group services You can rent the kota for your travel group or for instance for your workplace staff. When renting the kota for your group, Natura Viva will gladly organise attached outdoor activities for your group. So you can use the kota as a hub for your activities. Amenities The kota has a wooden floor, and benches with lambswool cushions circle around the inside hut. There's no running water or electricity in the premises.
