Activities and trails

On the hiking trails of Salla National Park, you can enjoy fell landscapes and the peace and quiet of the wilderness.

On the mountain biking trails, you can enjoy the fell landscapes, spruce forests and Ice Age esker formations.

Salla National Park and nearby areas have a large network of tracks for both traditional and free-style cross-country skiing.

Natural features of Salla

Salla National Park is part of Kuusamo highlands, often known as Koillismaa. The landscape is characterized by hills with snow-laden spruces and northern aapa mires, rich with wet fens.
