The starting point of the nature trail is at Asmandia’s lean-to along the Mynäjoki River. The trail partly follows local roads and climbs up two tall, forested hills. From the observation tower on Rauasvuori, you can enjoy the cultural landscape, while Linnavuori offers an unobstructed view to the south and west. The turning point of the trail is the Kurasmäki protected deciduous forest area, a beautiful destination with old oaks throughout the year. The nature trail at the station area is marked with arrow signs and, along the forest paths, with orange markings on the trees. There are a few information boards along the trail.

Canoes can be borrowed from Asmandia’s lean-to via the contact person. The area around the lean-to also has a frisbee golf course and fields for ball games and other activities.
Firewood is not part of Asmandia’s basic equipment. However, some firewood is occasionally available, as wood from clearing work in the area is recycled for use on the site. The wood is stored in a woodshed at the end of the storage container. If the door is not locked, the wood can be used. Please use it sparingly and only as much as you need. Since we cannot guarantee the availability of firewood at all times, it is advisable to bring your own.
